The patient time zone refers to the specific time zone in which a patient resides, which can significantly impact scheduling, communication, and the delivery of healthcare services.
By default, Upvio will automaticaly detect the patient timezone when they book an appointment through the booking page which is also stored in the patient's record.
You can manually update the patient time zone through the patient record section.
Patients can update the timezone on their end by logging into the patient portal. Click profile on the upper right menu, then scroll down to timezone.
Setting the exact timezone of the patient ensures that notifications and reminders are sent accurately preventing confusion or missed appointments, which enhances the patient experience.
