How do I enable client authentication or verification?

Client authentication enables you to send an email verification link to clients prior to filling out forms. You may activate this feature on each of your forms individually.

 

You can choose which form or booking page need client authentication. To do this, please refer to these steps:

  1. Log in to your Upvio account
  2. Go to Forms and click New Form or open an existing form.
  3. On the right side, click on the Form tab.
  4. Toggle on Require Client Authentication. Green indicates client authentication has been enabled.
  5. Click Publish to save your changes.

NOTE: The link in the verification email expires in 20 minutes. A new one must be requested upon expiry.

How do I check if the client is verified?

Verified client swill have the verified badge next to their names. There are 3 ways to look for the badge:

  • View the client's profile.
  • Go to the form submission page and check the form responses.
  • Check the client's name on an existing calendar booking.
