How to publish and share a scan link
This guide explains how to create and share a Scan Link, the unique URL your clients use to perform their scans. Once a client opens this link, they will be guided through the steps to submit their results directly to you.
Creating the link
- Go to the Links page in your dashboard
- Click the + New button. You will see a form to configure the settings for your new link.
- Fill in the following fields to customize the user experience:
- Name - An internal label for your reference. This helps you recognize this specific link in your dashboard later.
- Description - A short note explaining the purpose of the link. The end user will see this note, so keep it clear and helpful.
- Slug - The custom text that appears at the end of the URL (e.g., .../scan/client-name). Although editable, this is autogenerated based on the Name.
- Template - Defines exactly which metrics will be collected during the scan. We offer several predefined templates for different use cases.
- Limit of Scans - Set the total number of times this link can be used. This allows you to cap the number of submissions or credits used by this specific link.
- Expiration - Toggle this ON if you want the link to stop working automatically after a certain period.
- Expiration Date - The final day the link remains active. After this date, users will no longer be able to access the scan flow.
Sharing the link
Once you complete the form and hit save, your scan link becomes Active immediately.
- Locate the link you just created on the dashboard.
- Click the Copy Link to Share button.
- Send the URL to your client via email, or your preferred communication channel.
Tip: We recommend testing the link yourself first. Click Visit to view the scan link and ensure the template look correct.
