How scan credits work?

Understanding how credits are utilized is essential for managing your billing and usage effectively. This guide explains what a credit is, the cost per scan, and exactly when a credit is deducted from your balance.

A Credit serves as the internal currency for our platform. It is the unit of measure we use to track usage and billing for our scanning services.
  • 1 Credit = 1 Face Scan (includes the basic 6 metrics)
When is a credit deducted?A credit is deducted the moment the end user initiates the scan flow.Once the scan engine is engaged, the system allocates server resources to process that request. Therefore, the credit is considered "used" at the very start of the process, rather than at the delivery of results. Because the credit is deducted at the initiation of the flow, the charge applies regardless of the final outcome.A credit will be used even if:
  • The scan completes successfully.
  • The scan fails due to user error (e.g., poor lighting, movement).
  • The user abandons the scan mid-process.
Key Takeaway: If the scan button is pressed and the flow begins, 1 credit is used.
